School Ambassadors

Lynn Grove's partnership with the Phichit Pittayakom School in Thailand continues to flourish. A successful video-conferencing link and tracher exchanges have already taken place, and now 6 pupils in Year 9 are being given the opportunity to visit the school in Thailand next February as a "School Ambassador". A letter explaining the purpose of the trip, together with notes and an application are available to download below. Pupils and parents are asked to return completed application forms to the student reception or to Mr. Carter directly by 3.15pm on Wednesday 22nd November. Pupils shortlisted will then be interviewed prior to a final selection being made.

International School Award

Over the years Lynn Grove has forged links not only with the local community but also on an international level. This work has recently been recognised by the Department of Education and the British Council, who have awarded the school the International School Award at Intermediate level and invited the school to apply for the Full International School Award. The awarding panel were impressed by the school's commitment to providing both staff and pupils with a variety of international opportunities through exchanges and trips to France, Germany, America and Ireland, and particularly the developing partnership that is being forged by Lynn Grove with the Phichit Pittayakom School in Thailand, which has already provided reciprocal teacher exchanges and an active video-conferencing club between our pupils and their Thai counterparts.
