BBC News Day underwayThe BBC News Day 2010 is in full swing. Everyone is working hard to meet the 3.00 pm deadline!
BBC News Day At Lynn Grove High School - 11th March 2010
Once again students at Lynn Grove High school will endeavour to produce a full television news programme. Many schools all over the world take part, and we are proud to be one of only 67 that have taken part in this initiative every time since it began in 2007. The show will last around 20 minutes. Everything from the editing of the video to the recording of the images and the graphical elements used during the show is produced by 'Lynn Grovers'. The students work in small crews, each of which has been assigned an area of news focus. The themes this year cover everything from school issues to entertainment and the weather. Each team is made up of students from different year groups, with year 11s acting as the director / camera people and the lower years in support and presenter roles. We even have two ex Lynn Grove students who are currently at college coming to support the teams. This is a great opportunity for students of all year groups to collaborate on a joint project. Part of the challenge is for the whole team to work against a strict deadline. Everything has to be finished in time so the programme can be broadcast at exactly 3.00 pm throughout the school on our information screens. It will also be available for viewing on this page at that time. Good Luck all!!!
