Introduction

Welcome to the Mathematics Department.

The mathematics team works hard to ensure that all pupils make good progress during their time at Lynn Grove and this is reflected in our results that continually exceed county and national standards at both KS3 and KS4.

Our main aim is to build pupils skills and confidence in mathematics and to prepare them for the everyday world. We hope to encourage, identify and acknowledge progress and effort across the ability range and to challenge them to achieve at every level.

Within the department we have an exceptional team of teachers. All of our classrooms come equipped with electronic whiteboards and we have a dedicated suite of computers to enable access to a variety of resources and learning opportunities.

The department also takes a leading role within the school with training and mentoring teachers from a range of Higher education Institutions.
