Introduction The Science department has 10 well equipped laboratories, two of which were completed in September 2008. There are 10 teachers and 3 technicians. The aim of the department is to provide all pupils with a good grasp of scientific principles so that they can make informed decisions about their role in conservation, energy use and changes within their own bodies. We also aim to equip tomorrows’ scientists with the skills and knowledge to study science further at college and university so that they may be part of new scientific and technological developments in areas such as medicine, engineering and the energy industry.
