Key stage 3 This year our Year 7 pupils have 3 lessons of German per week. Students are set according to ability and are using ‘Echo 1’. We also have 1 class of Spanish using ‘Mira!’ Having studied French in Year 7, our Year 8 pupils are continuing with their French studies and are having 4 lessons of French per week. We are currently using Oxford’s interactive ‘Clic 2’ course. All pupils are issued with a ‘Clic En Solo’ workbook and CD-Rom for use at home. In Year 9, pupils in the top 3 sets on either side of the school study German in addition to French. Classes have 2 lessons of each language per week. Sets 4 on each side of the school have 3 lessons of French per week. We currently use Expo 3 (rouge and vert) for Year 9 French and Echo 2 for Year 9 German.
