The Media Studies Course

Media Studies is the study of the grammar and language of film, television, newspapers and all forms of mass media.

Students follow the WJEC course, which specifically includes

• advertising
• cinema
• television

Assessment is by final examination and coursework. As part of their coursework students produce their own media text. In the past this has been a newspaper, which was published and distributed to the 1150 pupils who attend the school.
