For some years now, the citizenship and PE Departments have combined to visit Northern Ireland during which links have been made in the Irish Republic and Londonderry. The trip includes football matches, visits to partner schools, visits to the Mayor of Londonderry and a study of the history of the area.
The Department is particularly proud of its links with York, Maine USA. Young people from Maine visit Lynn Grove and are ‘home hosted’ while here and attend classes and activities at Lynn Grove. Lynn Grove pupils visit Maine bi-annually and attend classes with their hosts as well as a number of social activities. Nearly 1,000 young people and their parents have been involved in this exchange since its inception which Lynn Grove began.
