In Year 10 and 11, RE and Citizenship combine to become RSE. In the first two terms of year 10, pupils follow the AQA Syllabus B course in Philosophy and Religion covering topics such as: - Belief in God
- Abortion
- Prejudice and Discrimination
- War and Peace
- Planet Earth
- Animal Rights
In the final term of year 10 and the first term of Year 11, all pupils follow a ‘world to work’ course as follows: - Attending a number of presentations by employers such as Gardline International, the Armed Forces etc.
- Choosing a work experience placement and completing it successfully.
- Succeeding at interviews
- Developing a C.V.
- Making plans for the future
- Completing applications for level 2 and 3
- Attending interviews at Lynn Grove for the next phase in their development at 16+ (destination statistics for Lynn Grove 2008/09 are significantly better than local and national averages for staying on post - 16 with only one student not in education, employment or training)

- Drugs
- Law and order
- Rich and poor
- The media
Lynn Grove VA High School enters the largest number of students for GCSE RE than any school in the East of England and records good to very good results in this subject. A current Year 11 student Robert Johnson recorded 100% in last year’s exam taken in year 10; an outstanding achievement in national and local terms.
