Help us sow the seeds for a greener tomorrow Lynn Grove High School has joined Generation Green, a new programme from Scottish Gas to help our children do their bit to make the planet greener. Greener at schoolDuring the year, we will be undertaking green tasks to encourage us to save energy and cut our carbon emissions. Tasks can be as simple as appointing a lights monitor for each classroom or as complex as measuring our carbon footprint (this tells us just how green our school is today). Greener in the classroomAs well as tasks, Generation Green gives staff a wide choice of teaching materials we hope will make learning about green issues even more fun and inspire our pupils to take an active role in protecting the environment. Greener at homeAny support you can give us will be very welcome. For example, going along with your children when they ask you to do green things at home – like switching off the lights to save energy. You could also help us earn Leaves by completing a quick and simple Energy Savers Report. You’ll find this at generationgreen.co.uk on the friends and family page. Sharing your views with usWe are always looking for 'fresh' ideas to become even greener so if you do have any new 'green' suggestions to help our school and the local community protect our environment please share them by emailing us on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
